Glad that day is over

A year ago today I was lying in a hospital room awaiting the arrival of my Abbi.  I was thinking about it yesterday because a year ago yesterday is when my water actually broke — I was on my way to a work meeting when I thought I had peed my pants getting into my car.  Needless to say I had to cancel the meeting because the pee kept coming, followed by a long labor, and a very unexpected delivery.  You can read the story here.

I look at Abbi now and cannot believe that it has been a year.  On one hand it seems like we just brought her home from the hospital, all swaddled up in a blanket, confused as to who we are and where we are taking her.  On the other hand it is hard for me to remember our life without her.

So, here’s to hoping that today goes a little bit better this year than last year.
