Good little monkey

Abbi was watching Curious George yesterday afternoon while she was playing.  Well, she really doesn’t sit and watch tv, she merely glances up at it when she decides to take a 10 second break from running around the house.  I think I catch more of the cartoons than she does.  In the late afternoon it is kind of hard to find an age appropriate cartoon for Abbi.  Most of the cartoons are geared toward school-age kids.  So, we tend to watch  PBS during those times.  She likes Curious George because she loves the monkey sounds.  I, on the other hand, am a little leery of The Man in the Yellow Hat.  This man does not own any other color clothing other than yellow and the man lives with a monkey.  Hmm.

So yesterday’s episode of Curious George was about George learning that a high score is good in basketball but a low score is good in miniature golf.  After he learns this very important lesson, he beats the pants off another little boy in their mini-golf match.  Blah, blah, blah…during the teaching of this very important lesson the little girl says to George, “I guess girls and monkeys often think alike.”  Hmm, not sure how to take that.  Is that a good thing or a bad thing?  Is that a compliment to the monkey or a slam to the girl?  Either way, the monkey and the girl both beat the pants of the boy at mini-golf

So Abbi, we may think like monkeys but we can kick boys’ butts! (in mini-golf at least)
