Dream a little dream

I’m not one to read much into dreams.  I took all the psych classes in college and we often did dream interpretation when studying different psychologists, as they all usually had something to say about dreams and our deepest inner thoughts.  I tend to think that they are just bits and pieces things that have happened throughout the day.  But now I’m starting to wonder…

Two or three times a month I have dreams about bears.  They are usually chasing me or stalking me and I’m trying to figure out ways to get away from them.  Sometimes it is the same situation, but then there are new scenarios that pop up.  I’m not watching tv shows or movies that involve bears. I don’t encounter bears on a regular basis. I don’t even think about bears.  So why the repetitious dreams about bears?  Because I’m too lazy to go to Barnes & Noble and look at a dream book, here is what I found on-line:

To dream that you are being pursued or attacked by a bear, denotes aggression, overwhelming obstacles and competition. You may find yourself in a threatening situation. Alternatively, bears symbolize the cycle of life and death and renewal.  It may signal of period of introspection and thinking. The dream may also be a pun on “bare”. Perhaps you need to bare your soul and let everything out into the open.”

So, what do you think?  I’m not sure what to think really.  I don’t feel like I’m in a threatening situation.  This is why I don’t try to read much into dreams.  It just takes more brain power than I like to give.  So I’m open to other ideas or interpretations.
