Happy New Year

We had a pretty low key New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day. NYE we hung out with Tim’s parents, had dinner, played the Wii, and played a game. I finally kicked them out at 11:30pm so I could get ready for bed, kiss my husband at midnight and go to sleep. Being pregnant, one just does not feel like partying, NYE or not. We did actually go out the other night with some friends to a comedy club, which was a blast, but that was my extent of partying at this point. Since I’ve rounded the corner into my third trimester, I can feel my energy steadily declining. Super.

New Year’s Day we just hung out with Tim’s sister and her family and Tim’s brother. We, surprisingly, played the Wii and a few board games, where Brenda and I took on the three guys in Trivial Pursuit and made a comeback to win! Oh, and did I mention that I ate tons of junk food. The only semi-nutritional food I ate was the french toast I made for breakfast. But that is the bonus of holidays I guess. Good times!

Instead of looking back at 2007 (although we had some great and not so great things that did happen), I’d rather look forward to the upcoming year. And I’m not one to make a New Year’s Resolution either. I just don’t see the point I guess. So here is what I’m looking forward to in 2008:
The arrival of our second baby
Abbi becoming a big sister
Tim settling in and really enjoying his new job
Getting ahead on our finances

And here are some things I’m hoping will happen in 2008:
Put our house up for sale and selling it quickly
Find a fabulous new house at a great deal
Lose the weight I’ve accumulated after two pregnancies
I will take more pictures and videos. I’m seriously lacking in the photo department these days.

I hope you all enjoyed your New Years and are looking forward to a stunning 2008!
