Baby Brain

It has been so long since the hubs and I have had a date night. Too LOOOOOONNNNNGGG! So, Angela so graciously agreed to babysit last night on super short notice so Tim and I could have a little out-of-the-house-without-child time. We decided to just go see a movie with our few free hours. We saw “Mad Money” with Diane Keaton, Queen Latifa, and Katie Holmes. Of course it wasn’t on the top of our list of movies to see but it worked within our time frame and was a good light-hearted choice.

We got to the theater in plenty of time to grab a bite to eat and walk around the mall, allowing me to stop by the AT&T store to play with the iPhone. I would definitely opt for that phone but the keyboard would take some time to get used to. Time that I am certainly willing to spend on it!

Anyhow, we headed back to the theater, found our theater, and waited for the movie to begin. I had a funny feeling the entire time we were waiting. I kept looking at my watch, wondering when the previews would start — I’m not very patient. The movie time was for 7:35pm so I figured the previews would start shortly before that. 7:35pm came and went. At 7:40 another small family came into the theater and the previews started shortly after that. Still had a funny feeling. After the 10 minutes of previews the movie began. Ummmm, this isn’t quite right. What in the…..this isn’t “Mad Money”. This is “Alvin and the Chipmunks”! We’re in the wrong freakin’ theater!

I could have swore that they guy taking our tickets said Theater 13. Of course the theaters don’t have the name of the movie playing on them. I should have checked our tickets but I didn’t. I went with what I thought the guy said. Unfortunately we were supposed to be in Theater 15. So, we grabbed our stuff and went to the correct theater, only to see that movie had already started. Not sure how much we actually missed of “Mad Money” but I think we were able to fill in the gaps right away.

So, I’m a moron! This child is sucking every brain cell out of my head. Thankfully my husband has come to understand that I’m an emotional see-saw these days and the slightest thing can reduce me to tears. So, he was not upset with me for being such a moron. I think he was just happy to have a date night.
