If it only served me popcorn

I did not grow up watching any of the Star Wars movies. Prior to the year 2001 I had not seen any of the Star Wars movies in their entirety. I think I may have caught a scene or two through out the years but I really had no desire to watch them. That was until my future husband’s family found this out and explained that it was a prerequisite to becoming part of the family. I think they would have still let me in had I not watched the movies, but then again…

So, we sat down for weekend marathon of watching Star Wars, The Emperor Strikes Back, Return of the Jedi, and Episode I: The Phantom Menace. Then, of course, we had to see Episode II: Attack of the Clones and Episode III: Revenge of the Sith in the theaters. I must admit, it was not as torturous as it sounds. I actually liked Episodes I, II, and III. And thus, I became part of the family.

Even though I am not a Star Wars junkie or lifer, I must admit that I kind of found myself wanting the R2-D2 projector from Nikko. I know, it kind of sound corny, but you have to see the video. This little guy buzzes around your house and can shoot the image at amazing angles. Not only can you watch a DVD but you can hook up your digital camera, computer, USB drive, iPods, or insert your digital camera chips. And he makes all those cute R2-D2 sounds. Yes, I did just call R2-D2 cute.

Now, for the nearly $3000 price tag I would have expected that it would also pop my popcorn but maybe that will show up in the next version. And, if that next version is able and willing to give me foot massages…..well, then Tim might just loose his place in the family.
