Summer Goals

I’ve somewhat abandoned my monthly goals lately, partly due to the those three little time-consumers I have running around my house. And I’m going to continue to abandon the monthly part of it and just set some summer goals for the time being. The summer months just get all lumped together anyhow.

Summer Goals:

  1. Spend as much time outside as possible — This is actually a tough one for me because I’m just fine with being inside. Even if we don’t have air conditioning. Which we don’t. And it’s not because I’m afraid of bugs. I just don’t like the bugs buzzing around my face! So annoying! But my kids love being outside, especially Abbi, so I will be outside. Also thinking of visiting a different area park each week!
  2. Set up a regular activity schedule — I know, Summer is for relaxing and tossing schedules to the wind! But my kids need it! They thrive on a schedule. Schedules help keep everyone from getting bored, which eliminates the whining and fighting and naughtiness and attitudes! Just something simple, with lots of play time built in.
  3. Loose 20 pounds — The “it’s just baby weight” excuse has run out. Time to buckle down! And I think it’s doable. It’s less than 2 pounds a week from now until Labor Day!
  4. Indulge in the season — I think this will actually help in the weight loss goal. No, I’m not talking ice cream and hot dogs. I’m talking about all of the fresh fruits and vegetables! My body is craving this stuff!

I’m sure I’ll have a few more goals to add to the list but I think that should get me started!

What are your goals this Summer?
