‘Ellebrate Good Times, Come On!

There’s really nothing quite like a small town festival. Their quirkiness gives them such charm that they are just hard to resist! I can say this because I grew up in small-town USA and spent my Summers partaking in such activities.

So I may have been slightly excited when Tim agreed that we could head to his hometown for their annual festival (it only took him 12 years to get us there). We were headed to Ellebration 2012! {formerly affectionally known as Pig Roast}

And we had all sorts of fun!

We pulled our camper up with us and parked it on some family-friends’ property. With a peaceful view. And with a lovely little stream where the girls and dog splashed around in to cool down!

The girls slipped & slided on a giant evening water slide!

We ate pancake breakfasts and ran into all sorts of Tim’s old friends.  They learned archery, which was all sorts of awesome since the mild obsession with Merida from Disney Pixar’s BRAVE.

We watched a parade. They bounced on giant inflatables, tried their hand at circus life and watched a Horse Pull.

Took leisurely rides in the Ranger. Made new friends. Visited with old friends. Spit cherry pits out the window on the way home. And just enjoyed the slower pace of life.

Well, as slow as one can be when you’re chasing around three kids all weekend!

I hope your weekend was fabulous and memorable!
