Watch out, Broadway!

I was pretty disappointed when the ballet/tap camp that I signed the girls up for earlier this Summer got cancelled. But not disappointed enough to really look for an alternative. Then they had such a great time with their Princess Science Camp that I thought I should maybe find one more little day camp for them to do before school starts.

Since my girls have no problem being overly dramatic {and love to act out little stories for me on a daily basis}, I thought it might be fun to have them do the Musical Theater camp at Avalon School of the Arts. See if they could put their flair for theatrics to good use!

The camp was just four days long, with the last day being performance day. While I wish the class time was a bit longer {seriously, you can not get anything done in a 90 minute window}, the girls had a blast! So glad they could do the class together again!

The theme was Aladdin! Perfect for my little princesses! They would learn two songs from the Aladdin Junior Musical — Prince Ali and A Whole New World. They learned the words to the songs, some dance moves, made their own magic carpet for a set prop, and learned how to do a curtain call.

Abbi was admittedly nervous on performance day, especially when she learned that her two cousins would be there to watch! But they did great!!!

I might just have a budding Bette Midler or Julie Andrews on my hands!
