Last week we celebrated Zoe’s Preschool Graduation. Completely adorable and perfect!
Her teachers split the class into four groups and each group performed a play. Where the Wild Things Are, Are You My Mother?, Caps For Sale, and The Rainbow Fish. Zoe was in The Rainbow Fish staring as Rainbow Fish.
The plays were simply adorable! Complete with costumes and kids knowing actual lines and backdrops! They made backdrops!
The kids also sang some songs, including a few they had learned during Spanish class. And then it was time for the graduates to take their walk and receive their diploma.
She was so proud of herself!
And I couldn’t be more proud of her! She has accomplished so much this year. Montessori was a great choice for Zoe and her oh-so-uniqueness. I loved that her teachers pushed her and stretched her. That she embraced a new school, new teachers, and new friends with such enthusiasm.
Now she is counting down the days until she can go to Kindergarten. She cannot wait to be at the big school with her sister. To walk those halls, have recess, eat lunch, have homework. And, while I’m so excited for her to embark on that journey, I’m asking time to slow down this Summer. Because I am not ready.
