Scare up some spooky treats with Hershey’s Halloween

Confession :: I love Halloween, but it has very little to do with the costumes, spooky parties, or pumpkin carving. And has everything to do with the candy & treats!

Sure, I could eat a chocolate bar any day (and usually do), but shape that chocolate bar into a ghost or pumpkin or cover it in wrapper that says “boo”, and I’m sold! After all, they do taste better than that everyday chocolate bar, don’t they?

While the majority of the Halloween candy that I buy will sit in my little glass pumpkin until it mysteriously disappears, I thought maybe I’d offer you a round-up of some fun ways to use all the gobs and gobs of Hershey’s Halloween candy you bought at the store this week. {It’s ok, we all convince ourselves we’re buying it for the trick or treaters that, for some reason, just don’t show up again this year.}

The Reese’s Pieces Pumpkin ::

Reese’s Pieces were meant for Halloween, in my opinion! Their bag full of orange, yellow, and brown candy deliciousness become the best way to create a spooky or silly jack-o-latern cake or cupcake. Use the orange pieces for the pumpkin, the yellow for the face and the brown for the stem. Of course, this cake is very ambitious…I think mine would be a nice flat pumpkin cake.
