Summerize your legs in 1, 2, 3

I am a member of the Collective Bias®  Social Fabric® Community.  This shop has been compensated as part of a social shopper amplification for Collective Bias and its advertiser.

Saturday marked the official start of Summer. In Michigan, however, Summer starts when we have two consecutive days of sunshine and temps over 50 degrees.

At least that’s when thousands of Michiganders will shed the winter-wear and slip into some shorts, exposing their neglected, oh-so-pasty white legs.

It’s quite the site. But, what do you expect when our legs are covered for nearly 8 months. And then there’s the issue of winter shaving…or lack thereof.

As much as my legs are super excited to see the light of day (and sunshine) again, they are not thrilled about the constant Summer maintenance.

Confession :: I consider it a very successful Winter if I remember to shave my legs once every week or two.

Then Summer comes along and I find myself shaving every few days. It can be brutal on your legs! {yes, I can see all the guys reading this rolling their eyes right now…}

So here are 3 tips to keeping those legs looking fabulous all Summer long:

1. Start moisturizing before you grab the razor.

Picking a good, moisturizing shaving gel is key! It’s been a long Winter and your legs will need a little TLC. I particularly like Skintimate® Skin Therapy Sensitive Skin shave gel. Infused with moisturizers, the Skintimate Skin Thereapy shave gel gives my legs a nice protective layer as I shave while continuing to moisturize and soften my legs. And, because it’s designed for sensitive skin, I don’t have to worry about nasty razor burn or my legs getting irritated!

2. Picking a good razor.

If you’re going to spend the time de-hairing your legs, you mine as well do a good job! A good razor is a must! With three kids banging down the bathroom door five minutes after I get into the shower, I don’t have time to go over my legs a hundred times to make sure I’ve gotten every little pesky hair. The Schick® Hydro Silk Sensitive Care razor does just that — the job right the firs time! With five curve sensing blades, you can glide over your legs (and knees) and know that you’re getting everything the first time. Done!

And, because those same five fabulous blades give you a wonderfully close shave, you’ll find yourself shaving a little less often. But, ladies, do yourself a favor and don’t overuse those blades. Be sure to change out your blades with a fresh one every 5 – 10 shaves to keep  your razor gliding nicely!

3. Soak in the sun, just not those yucky UVs.

If you’ve used the Skintimate® Skin Therapy Sensitive Skin shave gel and Schick® Hydro Silk Sensitive Care razor, you’re legs are already getting a nice dose of moisturizer but we also want to keep them protected as you enjoy the outdoors and give ’em that sun kissed look. Adding another light layer of moisturizer with some SPF is always a great idea. I’ve always loved the Sun Lotions and Sprays from Hawaiian Tropics. I’ve been using them for more years that I can even remember!

With that, your three new best friends have you’re legs are ready for any hiking, splashing, and relaxing you have planned for the next few months!

And, thanks to Walmart and their Sun Zone, I was able to find all three all in one section right at the front of the store! Perfect for that quick trip when I’ve run out of one or the other or as just as a reminder to keep them on hand so I don’t run out! Love it when stores are looking out for me!
